First entry here... :) Greetings to everyone here! Thanks to Rosa for showing me this group! From taking a quick look at past posts I'm sure to learn a lot from you gals.
Now to my question...I got this (And I'm sorry about having to put the whole link thing, HTML is a foreign language to me!)

(Hopefully the top pic shows up-it also comes with a jacket)
& am not too sure about shoes & tights? Tights are a must for me and I usually like a bit of a heel. But what color? Kinda hard to match the shoes with this color so what would be a good alternative? Besides, shopping for shoes in the summertime sooo sucks! Thanks in advance for any help/ideas you all may have.
Oh and to everyone, have a great weekend!

» yvette sez...
yvette, heir presidente of The Modern Juniors says that bright royal blue goes with gold.
we debated this all afternoon long while fiddling through aisles of clothes at rows of stores.
very swell, indeed.
alas, i still cannot picture the colour combination.
methinks, yvette...
it wreaks a little of late 1966 since a metallic colour is involved.
metallics lend a bit to the psychadelia of it all, no?

what do you think?

and royal blue makes me think of velvet, hence royal..and that is certainly late 66, which, i love 1966, but as you all remember, 1967 might as well be 1970...so
it's all downhill from there.

i welcome them.
» today's outfit, today's dilemma
moss green short-sleeved mock turtle-neck
black & white micro-striped cigarette pants
white belt
shin-length black beatle boots
coarse grey wool a-line peacoat with silver buttons
bright petal pink lipstick
round white sunglasses

-my pants float a bit, showing skin only when i sit...should i be wearing trouser socks?
-i love this coat but it seems to be too long to wear with pants (a little above the knee)
-i would love to wear a scarf or accessories with this outfit to add some color. i have trouble with scarves: what material is most complementary, pattern/design, different knots etc....would somebody PLEASE make an entry about SCARVES??

once this comes in the mail, im going nuts and making millions of earings for everybody!!!

» what's going on?
okay. so i have a feeling i bought from a bad seller. i paid her for 2 vintage patterns on aug. 12, 2004 and she emailed me today saying i haven't paid! i even gave her 2 dollars more than she asked for! i forwarded her my receipt so hopefully it all works out. but i'm really anxious as we speak as i have a feeling that this lady and i will "get into it."
» office mods of the world unite!
so, it's wednesday.. let's see if i can do this for a whole week! trying to dress all business casual like for work is hard! but i really want to be more consistent about it. i told dave that i'm seriously going to work on my work closet.. for real, this time.

j. crew and gap are the best places to shop for office mod-like clothes. especially sweaters! yum!

i've been wearing sneakers and trainers for how long now. i'm so glad the wasted weekend broke that pattern. i was suffering from clothing depression like you wouldn't believe!

solution: i've resurrected my fashion notebook. this should help me stay on track.
